How we review
ReviewsBoss is an independent, research-based review publication. We do not test products in a lab or take freebies from brands. What we do is read the evidence that already exists — manufacturer specifications, independent lab measurements from outlets that publish their method, and verified owner feedback — and turn it into a clear recommendation.
Every number in a review is traceable. Where a figure comes from the maker, we say so; where an independent tester measured something different, we publish both and tell you which is which. If nobody publishes a figure, we say that too rather than guessing.
How we make money
ReviewsBoss is reader-supported. When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. This never influences our scores, and products that perform poorly get low scores — even when they pay a higher commission.
Our scoring system
- 9.0–10 — Outstanding. Best in class, buy with confidence.
- 8.0–8.9 — Excellent. Minor compromises only.
- 7.0–7.9 — Good. Worth considering for the right buyer.
- Below 7.0 — Not recommended. We tell you why.
