Welcome back to Reviews Boss. Today’s review is a short one, as we are looking at a free Chrome extension called Keywords Everywhere. It is also available on Firefox, but I’m talking specifically about Chrome here as I much prefer that browser.

What Is Keywords Everywhere?

As mentioned above, it is an extension for the Chrome and Firefox browser. It’s free, and works on Mac OSX or Windows.

What Does It Do?

Keywords Everywhere main functionality is to allow you to see search volume and CPCs when you are typing in keywords into search engines like Google.

For example, if I type in “car insurance quote New Zealand”, then I see the following:

So that’s showing me search volume, CPC, and Adwords competition – neat.

I can even see these stats for Google search term suggestions:

Keywords Everywhere even works on other search engines like YouTube:

And even Amazon:

*NB – I believe this data is still Google’s data and not Amazon internal data.

How Much Does It Cost?

Keywords Everywhere is currently free. What a nice price tag!

How Do I Get It?

Go here to install Keywords Everywhere browser extension. You’ll need the Google Chrome browser installed, and then you will also need to follow a short process to get an API key that will allow you to actually get CPC and search volume data.

What Customization Options Are There?

You can set different geos and currencies, as well as pick which search engines you want to show stats for. Basically, it’s got enough power under the hood to keep you going with all your keyword research needs.

Is It Worth Using?

Totally – I use Keywords Everywhere almost every day, especially when I want to find the SV/CPC/Competition of a small number of keywords. In fact, I think it’s better than many paid keyword tools like Long Tail Pro.

Summary

Probably one of the best browser extensions for Internet marketers that has ever come into existence. If a "guru" came up with this you'd be paying $49 per month and jumping for joy at the privilege to do so. But it's free. I mean what's not to love? You can literally build a business with this (+ hosting and a domain). Nuts.

  1. How accurate is the search volume? I was comparing a search phrase with SEObook and the results were staggeringly different. 0 on SeoBook vs 170 a month on Keywords Everywhere.

      Are you referring to the competition score as provided in Keywords Everywhere? That’s a Google Ads competition score so it’s really more relevant if you’re doing PPC advertising!

  14. I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own blog and was wondering what all is needed to get setup? I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very web savvy so I’m not 100 positive. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks|

  16. Hey, I think your blog might be having browser compatibility issues. When I look at your website in Ie, it looks fine but when opening in Internet Explorer, it has some overlapping. I just wanted to give you a quick heads up! Other then that, terrific blog!|
