A Good Experience With Long Tail Pro

A Good Experience With Long Tail Pro

If you’ve ready my massive review of Long Tail Pro, then you’ll probably know that I’m not the biggest fan of the product. Although the software (and the team behind it) has done quite a lot of good in terms of raising awareness of long tail keywords among Internet marketers, it has always been a bit of an expensive and buggy solution in my opinion.

Recently, however, Long Tail Pro evolved into Long Tail Pro Cloud. Instead of being a software that you have installed on your desktop machine, this Cloud version is meant to bring more convenience and power by allowing you to search from an online application. Although there are some advantages to this type of cloud-based software, the cynic inside me is pretty sure the decision was made to go down this route as it more easily justifies a monthly subscription price (on the old desktop version the monthly rebill price was just for the Platinum keyword competition functionality)

I will be doing a bit of a recap of my short experience with Long Tail Pro Cloud in a later post, but suffice to say for now I decided to cancel my membership.

Unfortunately, I only remembered to cancel after another rebill had gone out for January 2019. I knew I wasn’t going to use the software, so I decided to ask for a refund and cancellation of my account.

I’m pleased to report that the process was completely effortless, and within 48hrs I had a refund of the monthly price that I paid as well as cancellation of my account. Good on the Long Tail Pro team for not beating me around the bush and coming up with a fistful of obfuscations in order to avoid having me cancel and refunds – which tends to be the case with many products in this industry.

While I may not like the product, I certainly can’t fault such prompt and effective customer service!
